I love working with scenes that feel timeless, warm, and beautifully intentional. I photograph love stories, growing families, and meaningful milestones throughout Kansas City and inside my Waldo studio, Linear Bloom Studio. My work blends romantic softness with a modern, editorial touch that keeps every session feeling effortless, comfortable, and elevated from start to finish.

Hi, I’m Ericka!
I’m a Kansas City wedding and portrait photographer, studio owner, wife, and mom of two! I’ve spent more than 7 years photographing the people and moments that matter most, from wedding days and growing families to brand-new babies and all of the sweet little moments in between. My approach to photography is all about connection! I want your photos to feel like you: joyful, genuine, romantic, and completely timeless. I’ll guide you when you need it, fix the little details you don’t have to think about, and give you plenty of room to just be together and have fun! I love creating a mix of intentional, editorial images and the candid moments that happen naturally along the way.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of photographing more than 100 weddings, and my work has been featured in Modern Luxury Weddings, The White Wren, Southern Bride, and Wedding Chicks! But no matter how many weddings, families, or milestones I photograph, I never lose sight of how personal this work really is. These aren’t just pretty photos. They’re pieces of your life that only become more meaningful with time!
I’m also the owner of Linear Bloom Studio, my natural-light photography studio in Waldo! Creating a beautiful, welcoming space where families, couples, photographers, and creatives can feel comfortable has been such a fun extension of what I already love so much about this work.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually with my husband and our two kids, drinking an oat milk latte, planning a trip, decorating something, or convincing my husband that our 100-year-old home needs just one more project! I absolutely love old homes and all of the charm and character that comes with them. We’ve had so much fun renovating ours, making it feel like home, and bringing all of my design ideas to life! One of my favorite parts is that I can actually walk from our house to my studio, which still makes me so happy!
At the end of the day, I really just love people, beautiful spaces, meaningful moments, and creating images that feel like you!

Linear Bloom Studio
I am also the owner of Linear Bloom Studio, a natural light creative space in the heart of Waldo - Kansas City. It is where I photograph newborns, families, branding sessions, and the meaningful chapters in between. The studio is warm, clean, and thoughtfully styled with curated backdrops, inviting textures, and a modern yet timeless aesthetic. I also rent the studio to other photographers and creatives who want a beautiful, flexible space to bring their own vision to life. It is a place designed to feel inspiring, effortless, and welcoming for every person who walks through the door.
